ABOUT AMY
Service, community and the work that grew from both.
Amy Vickers is the founder of Well Beyond Service and ATV Consulting.
After serving for 26 years in the Royal Australian Navy, Amy understands that leaving a role which has shaped so much of your life can bring both possibility and uncertainty.
Amy's experience of life beyond her service, together with her work as a coach, facilitator and community leader, has shaped the way she supports people through change, challenge and growth.
In 2026, Amy was named the Tasmanian AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award winner in recognition of her work to further develop Well Beyond Service.

AMY’S JOURNEY
Finding the path beyond her service shaped the work Amy does today.

Amy joined the Royal Australian Navy at 16 and went on to serve for 26 years as an Aviation Technician and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Her years in Defence gave her extensive experience in leadership, teamwork and operating in demanding environments. They also gave her a deep understanding of the connection, identity and sense of purpose that can come with service.
Moving into life beyond the Navy brought a different kind of challenge. Amy’s own journey of rebuilding connection and finding her place within community became an important part of the work she now does with others.
Well Beyond Service grew from that lived experience and from a belief that people who have given so much through service deserve time, space and community as they find their own way forward.

WELL BEYOND SERVICE
Well Beyond Service is a free, four-day rural wellbeing program for people who have served in Defence or Front Line Services.
Created and led by Amy, the program offers participants time away from everyday roles and routines, with opportunities for connection, community and creativity in a welcoming, non-clinical environment.
AMY’S WORK
